KCIS' Headteacher is David Snyder (D.M.A., M.Ed., M.Mus.)
David Snyder is a strong and experienced educational leader having worked in school leadership in both the US and Uganda. Prior to joining KCIS as the current Headteacher, David was living in the US where he has worked in education for the past 17 years both as a teacher and in leadership. Of his 11 years spent in leadership, 7 were as a School Principal. He holds a Masters in Education/Educational Administration and a Masters and PhD in Musical Arts. David is a firm believer in productivity and programme quality and works with our team to support all the staff in meeting both their personal and organisational objectives.
In his spare time, David enjoys spending quality time with his family, as well as all things musical - David is an accomplished trumpet player and enjoys gardening.
David is no stranger to Uganda, having previously worked in an international school in Kampala as the Dean of Students. He lives with his wife, Katherine, who is originally from Uganda, and their two young daughters Zoe and Zia.
